You have to focus on your goals and want them enough to take action. The mind is a bit like a sat-nav in your car; you're not going to go anywhere until you know where you are going.
Don't worry if you're not that focussed yet; as long as you know the direction you are headed (third or fourth stage) you can get on your way. It really helped me when I lost weight to focus on the end result rather than the journey; that way if , like the road journey idea, there were diversions ( special occasions, parties) or road works (off days), I know that I could always get going again and still get to my goal as long as I kept moving forwards.

- First, you need to know where you are going, e.g. England ( this is like saying I want to improve myself)
- Second, you need to refine your location, e.g. South West (OK, now you choose an area, e.g. health - good news, you're here already)
- Third, refine further, e.g. Plymouth (this is the above list - things like looks, weight, strength)
- Fourth, guess what? Yep, keep going, e.g. house number/name and street. (This is where your focus should be)
